A few weeks ago Super Bowl Family Entertainment Center General manager Erik Gialdella began testing a new lane conditioner from Brunswick called Connect. The new conditioner was released to the market in May of 2009  and was specially formulated to combat the tough scoring environment that can be found on the original generation of ProAnvil Lanes found at Super Bowl. The new conditioner has been used the past 2 weeks and seems to be a hit with numerous honor scores rolling in everyday and even a new state of Wisconsin 4-person team series record!

The record performance was bowled on Tuesday February 23, 2010 in the Super Scratch Classic League. The scores are currently the highest bowled in the entire country this season and the 5th highest ever recorded in the histroy of 4-person team bowling. The Shenanigans team had a 3 game combined series of 3153 led by Matt Stock with 836, David Rauen with 820, Ken Kempf with 759, and Erik Gialdella with 738. As part of the amazing accomplishment David and Erik each bowled perfect games of 300 and Matt included a 299 game into his highest series of his bowling career.

Other amazing accomplishments have been had by many including: Nick Powers (814 series) in the WI Youth State Tournament on Feb. 13th, Bill Sell (803 series) in the Super Scratch Classic League on Feb. 16th, Bob Peebles (299 game) in the Wed. Nite Mens League on Feb. 17th, Mike Van Domelen (802 series & 299 game) in the Thurs. Super Dozen League on Feb. 18th, Sandy Hielsberg (708 series) in the Thurs. Super Jets League on Feb. 18th, Patrick Schellinger (299 game) in the Mon. Builders League on Feb. 22nd, Bruce Anderson (801 series) in the Tues. Metromania League on Feb. 23rd, Dave Gause (299 game) in the Wed. Super Bowlers League on Feb. 23rd, Dale Schmit (300 game) in the Wed. Nite Mens League on Feb. 24th, Ryan Racette (299 game) in the Thurs. Super Dozen League on Feb. 25th, Justin Weiss (819 series) in the Friday Youth Bowling Program on Feb. 26th, and Bill Luedtke (300 game) in the Fri. Tavern League on Feb. 26th.

Super Bowl would like to wish all of our bowlers the best of luck in the last few weeks of the winter season. Also, watch for our Spring/Summer League Menu that should be available to you in the next week. We look forward to see more high scores and hope to have some more records broken!

Russ Smith 801 Series

Russ Smith bowled an 801 series in the Super Scratch Classic bowling league at Super Bowl Family Entertainment Center on Tuesday September 15, 2009. It was the first night of the league bowling for the Classic league.  Russ bowled his honor score achievement with a Storm Virtual Energy. Tim Mathe in Bowlers Edge Pro Shop, located inside Super Bowl, drilled Russ the ball with a 5×5 drilling, leaving the ball at factory finish.

Russ bowled his feat while bowling anchor for the Great Lakes Line Builders Team and had games of 278 (10 strikes), 277 (10 strikes), and 246 (8 strikes) to total the 801 series. WOW a total of 28 strikes! It was bowled on lanes 39 and 40 and was the first honor score bowled for the season at Super Bowl bowling alley.
Super Bowl would like to congratulate Russ on his great bowling scores in the Super Scratch Classic bowling league and we wish you many more strikes this bowling season!  Russ has now qualified for the Honor Score Tournament during the month of May at Super Bowl.
