Over $6 Million In Youth Scholarship Money Awarded Every Year To Bowlers!

The Super Bowl Family Entertainment Center in Appleton, WI has youth bowling leagues with kids as young as 5 years old having an opportunity to earn one of many scholarships available to league bowlers. Kids competing in United States Bowling Congress (USBC) certified leagues have over $6 million available to them every year! These scholarships are given on a number of factors, some are earned by competition in local, state, or national tournaments while some may be earned by completing essay’s or having high scholastic marks. The Bowling Center Association of Wisconsin gives out over $25,000 in scholarships alone to area youth every year!
The USBC has it’s on dedicated program designed to be used by scholarship promotes to use to track and distribute scholarship money. The SMART(Scholarship Management and Accounting Reports for Tenpins) program has over 105,000 registered scholarship accounts.
Recently there has been a few youth bowlers making national news with there participation in Professional Bowlers Tour (PBA) Regional Tournaments. 12 year old Kamron Doyle from Brentwood, TN became the youngest to ever cash in a PBA tournament the first week of May at the Canton Open Regional in Georgia. He was featured on ESPN’s “First Take” for his performance. A few weeks later 18 year old Andrew Koff of Miami, FL won a PBA Regional Tournament. Competing as an amateur Koff will not get credit for an actually PBA victory however will get to take $2,500 in scholarship money for the win. Koff, who holds a 4.0 GPA and has been accepted by Duke University, recently was named the 2010 Chuck Hall Star of Tomorrow by the USBC.
Super Bowl bowling alley has the Fox Valley’s best youth programs with roughly 300 kids competing in certified bowling programs. Several Super Bowl youth league bowlers have earned scholarship money and there is plenty more to be won.

Alexandria Otto bowls in the Sports Classic Youth Bowling League at Super Bowl bowling alley on Friday’s after school. She will be graduating high school this year and is scheduled to attend the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater next fall for college. Paying for college can be an overwhelming feeling for most people however Alexandria has made certain that she will have a little help.
A $1200 scholarship was awarded to Alexandria from the Wisconsin State USBC Youth Association. That is a pretty nice amount for any college student but for Alexandria that will not be all she is receiving. She won the Arlene Jones Scholarship for $500 that is awarded through the Central Fox Valley Womens Bowling Association. There are also 2 more scholarships pending for Alexandria, those being a $1000 scholarship through the Fox Cities Bowling Association and either a $500 or $250 scholarship through the Fox Valley Communities USBC Youth Association.

Over $6 MILLION DOLLARS of scholarship money is awarded annually to youth bowlers around the country through bowling associations, certified tournaments, and individual bowling proprietors.
