Bowling…A Popular Video Game Target!

As bowling’s popularity has soared over the past few years, we continue to see the sport to be showcased in numerous ways. There are many TV shows which have featured bowling in certain episodes and we continue to see major sports and movie stars host fundraisers and social events at local bowling centers. However the video game industry seems to have a wide variety of entertainment available to anyone looking for a little challenge with out taking to the actual lanes.

I have found several on-line sites that feature bowling games for visitors to play. A site becoming more popular, due to the branding of youth bowling leagues and activities after it, is Bowlopolis. At Bowlopolis you can meet the characters and play “Defeat the Kingpin!”. The most notorious site for social activity may be facebook which features several bowling games, the most popular seem to be “Lucky Strike Lanes” and “Bowling Buddies”. Even ESPN features a game called “Club 300 Bowling” on their social gaming portion of the sports website. I have found one particular website to feature 16 different on-line bowling games, some of them to try may be “Pin Headz Bowling”, “Bowling Mania”, or “Pin Pals”.

The Nintendo Wii has become a staple of most households and who hasn’t had a great family battle of “Wii Sports Bowling” during any family gathering? Wii bowling has become so popular that some bowling alley’s have hosted Wii bowling leagues or tournaments instead of real bowling. Other popular console bowling video games are “AMF Bowling Pinbusters” and “Brunswick Pro Bowling”. AMF Bowling Pinbusters Video Game

Next time you want to challenge yourself to a game of bowling try your skills on-line as well as on-the-lanes. Compare your real bowling score to your on-line bowling score and see which one is higher.
